Bitty Car Adventure #1

Today we took our new bitty car on an adventure up the coastline.  We went to Grenaa which is on the westernmost point of the mainland (I think it is called Jillyland?).  Was a beautiful beach up there that kind of was like a small Oregon beach.  Was long in either direction and kind of cold... guess that doesn't really make it Oregon beach...

But it was beautiful, and there were people out walking along the shoreline... and some crazy people swimming in the ocean.  Makes me think of when Jess and I used to do that at the Oregon coast, was a nice break from the city though (not that Aarhus is all that big with ~300,000 people i think).  Will for sure have to go back next summer to hang out on the beach and swim ourselves!

Adventure #1 - Rome

I was lucky and got to take a little trip to Rome for a few days... I must say, I have been missing all of the adventures of traveling over the past few years.  Am so blessed that I get the opportunity to be so close to everything in Europe for 2 years and can take the time to go and explore every chance I get.  Rome is breath taking.  Wandering around at night just soaking in all the sights and sounds was uplifting.  I love all of the fountains that are all over the city.  Think that my draw to water is what really draws me to this city.  I loved it the first time I came years ago too.  For sure will be taking Nate back so he can experience it too.  And hopefully go into the Colosseum!!!  The short trip was fun though, reminded me what I am going to love about this trip, and got me more excited for the adventures to come. 
Nate is off to China next week so that will be fun for him!  I am a bit Jealous, but will have to make my own adventure while he is gone!  :-D

My bedroom!  Quite a view!  Only not so nice when I am trying to sleep in on the weekends and the sun is shining in on me.... could think of worse things to complain about  ;-p

Our nice big kitchen!  Love all the room!!  So much better then the lack of counter space in my kitchen back home... Might have to do something about that once I get home...

Path into the forest by our house!  Nice little running paths through the woods (not scary woods, just pretty bright paths).  Nate has taken much more advantage then I have thus far... I will get there, running in the cold is just not the most appealing thing..

Baby Car

We got a little car the other day, it is a Toyota Aygo (from "I Go", play on words :-)  Really quite fun to drive around!  Small but does the job that it was meant to do... And gets really go gas mileage which is going to be key where gas is about 3 times more expensive!

Home sweet home

Here I sit in my new home after getting settled for 2 weeks... Going to be pretty crazy living in a new country for 2 years.  Finally have all of our furniture (well all I need for now at least), all our kitchen stuff (even a toaster!  That one was tough to find at a sensible price), and internet so we aren't totally cut off from the world.  This is my first time trying to do a blog so we shall see how it goes..
